Crappy Week

This last week hasn't gone so well.

My father had 100 percent blockage in one artery, 95 in another and a heart attack while he was at the ER. Thank God he was already at the hospital! He's out and recouperating now. He already had a quadruple bypass quite a few years ago. ~sigh~ He really needs to take better care of himself!

To top it off, my husband found out his plant will be closing down come summer.
Where the hell is he going to find another job? Mine went bye-bye years ago and there aren't any to be had.
When they walk out of there for the last time, he'll be less than a month away from 15 years at that place. Ugh!

I think my Uncle's farm is going to go under. They've been trying to keep it afloat for quite a while, but with busted machinery, price of fert and seed, vet bills...blah, blah, blah. When are our reps going to start helping out the Ag industry in this state? I've forgotten how many farms they said have gone out in the last 2 years, but it was pretty close to hitting half of what the high was at one point, if I recall correctly. I'm too exhausted to look it up right now.

With everything that's been going on, I was late getting my toms in. The way I tend to push plants, maybe that's a good thing. We'll see. The bright spot - summer is definitely coming.

Like I keep saying, "It has got to get better, right?"

Sorry to hear you are having such a crappy week. Thank God your dad was in the hospital already when they found the blockage. This same thing happened to my uncle just a few weeks ago. He wasn't feeling well and my aunt finally forced him to go to the hospital, where they found the blockages. They kept him for observation and were going to schedule surgery when he had a heart attack right there in the hospital. He's fine now.

It's so sad to see farms close down. Where do people think we are going to get our food when they are all gone or built up. I don't want it from another country and I can only grow so much myself.

Big hugs to you and I hope your week gets better.

Hi, Dottie!
Thanks for stopping by.
So sorry to hear about your uncle.
:(
I think both he and my dad were very lucky they were where they could get emergency help immediately.

It just seems it's been one of those 'when it rains, it pours' weeks.
I'll just have to suck it up and deal. Nothing else I can do until I can start getting out in the garden and clear my mind with some ripping off of weed's heads. lol.

I'm sorry to see that you're having a fairly tough time at present.
We all have to hope that it will get better, and hopefully sooner rather than later.
Take care and happy gardening! xx

Hiya, Flighty!
Thanks. About all we can do is cross our fingers and keep hoping, eh?
