Time To Start Wintersowing!

Woohoo!
I only have peat to use this year since I can't afford to get any potting soil, so as I'm not too sure what I'll get for results this year I'm calling it a WS experiment.
:)
The milk jugs are all ready to get cut up. I'll probably spend all day Sunday doing that.
And dreaming of the summer garden with all those lovely flowers and veg.
OK, maybe I should back up and start dreaming of all those sprouts first.
Right now I'll take what I can get for good thoughts, so either way works!
And there's always all those newspaper pots to make - for inside and outside.
Now, if I can get a kid involved . . .

Tina - Thanks for the Blue Moon pumpkin tip! I like unusual and good. And the wintersowing reminder. I've lost the lettuce & chard in the big freeze, so I need to get some more going soon. Time to round up the milk jugs.

Here's to the new and hopefully improved 2009! Paula

Hiya Paula,
Thanks for dropping by!

I've been stalling a little on the WSing. 15F below 0 is too cold to be toting jugs around outside! I still have plenty of time left though, so, yay!

And yes, those blue moons are awesome! I saw some seed in a store recently but didn't get them - almost 3 bucks! Are they kidding?!

I really do hope you give them a try.
Happy gardening!
