Free Seeds

I waited to see if I'd get them before passing on the link.

They arrived yesterday, so here's the link for some free Peppermint and Chamomile seeds included in Celestial Seasonings Herbal Expedition Kit.

Oh - and 12 more milk jugs out, so my Winter Sowing container count is now at 48. Woohoo!

I found about that the other day, and sent for them. Right now my winter sown containers are under a 4 foot snow drift that appeared yesterday.......

Sissy,
Not sure you'd want to go by what I've done so far! Seriously, I plant what I want and pay no attention to the 'when' you're suppose to do them. I just do them and have faith! I go with what a lot of people have said = put 'em out there, they'll be fine. I sure hope so, but if not, I guess I learned somethin! lol.

girlgonegardening,
isn't it amazing how those drifts just suddenly pop up out of nowhere?!

I think it is great that some places will give "FREE" seeds, especially for children to start a garden for themselves I encourage it completely.

I love gardening and the feel of accomplishment that I have when I harvest my veggies, herbs, fruit and when I smell my flowers & see the birds & bes drinking their nectar & pollen. There is no feeling like it in the world when you cook your family a meal & you know that you planted it, grew it, harvested it, & cooked it for you & your family.

What bothers me is all the places on the web that advertize {free seeds } but they don't have them free or that they ask you to sign up for a book club a loan, online college or some such crap, and I really get frustrated when they say write to them through snail mail and send an SASE with 2 stamps and they will send you 1 small pack of seeds in 4-6 weeks.

I can go to the dollar store, big lots & even walmart & get seeds for 10-90 cents a pack for vegetables, flowers & herbs.

So to me FREE should be Free it should only cost the time that I invest in filling out the form with my snail mail address.

I am not fussing at you guys sorry if it seems that way at all! I am just wondering if I am the only one that is frustrated with the "free" SCAMS that these advertizers pull. AM I ALL ALONE HERE OR ARE THERE OTHERS LIKE ME?

Hiya charming! Thanks for dropping in.
Yeah, I totally, completely agree with you about the free not really being free. It bugs me to no end to think some people pay some sort of 'fee' or 'just complete 3 offers!' simply because they don't know any better.
For me, I only post about 'free' if it really is!

I ordered from www.winter.org by sending a self addressed stamped envelope and paid the shipping. They sent it back with many seed packets!
